This study delves into the conceptions of pre-service social science teachers in Secondary Education, being understood that they will be relevant in the genesis of a professional identity which is continually in training. Taking as participants 32 students of the MSc in Secondary School Teaching at University of Murcia, in Spain, the qualitative analysis of the conveyed meanings allows to reach results that reveal their beliefs about different aspects of educational practice, professionalization and the access to teaching.
