Abstract

The main objective of this article is to discover the assessment students makeof Physical Education classes according to their gender and perception of competence The sam-ple is formed of 1,111 subjects aged between 15 and 64. The information was collected using theCAPAFD instrument (Questionnaire for Analysing Sport and Physical Activities) specifically preparedfor this research. The conclusions obtained point towards the fact that males assess PhysicalEducation classes more positively than females. Similarly, those who feel more competent findPhysical Education easier. Finally, age groups between 15 and 25 and 26 and 40 are the ones whothink more favourably of the classes they have taken
