Abstract

This experience arose as a response to the needs of Physical Education teachers in Primary Education to carry out outings and promote activities outside the school. Therefore, the first objective was focused on designing, implementing and evaluating an outing to a climbing wall, and then, as a second objective, to plan a proposal for a playful improvement that could be transferred to a pavilion. A total of 15 students from the 4th year of the Primary Education Degree (mention in Physical Education) participated. All students participated in the proposal practice and evaluation of the outing and only 2 students (boy and girl) also adopted the teaching role to carry out the design of the outing and the subsequent proposal for improvement. A formative and shared evaluation of both the students' learning and the experience was developed, using the checklist and the anecdotal record as instruments. The results showed that the trip to the climbing wall allowed the creation of an environment close to climbing with a lower degree of uncertainty and a higher degree of efficiency and safety. In conclusion, climbing in a climbing wall is easy to organize by reducing the dangers of the natural environment.
