Abstract

A large number of uns qualified young people - providing them with professional or educational development - are not fully integrated into society. In order to respond to this situation, second-chance schools in Spain have emerged for just over a decade, which will be the focus and objective of this text. Specifically, the objective of developing this research reads: To deepen, analyze and explain the characteristics of second-chance schools. That is, what we will try to do will be to establish, in a brief way, a frame of reference around this type of centre in which we research the unique characteristics attributed to them. To achieve our objective, we have chosen to carry out a literature review research analyzing the different texts and reports found in research databases, that is, a review of the previous literature on the subject matter of study. In the development of this document we will be able to find a central part, in which we will discuss what is found in the search, preceded by the methodology used to carry out the task. Finally, we will account for the different advantages found in the centers of this type. These include the homogeneity of the groups, the student-centered teaching-learning process, or the support and guidance present.
