Abstract

This work includes an intervention-action proposal, which makes use of a communicative and innovative approach, to carry out an investigation about the use of gamified ac-tivities in the English classroom, its effects on the factors that influence the improvement of oral skills in the foreign language and the benefits of its implementation. To do this, after a thorough review of the recent literature regar-ding the teaching of English as a foreign language and the use of gamification as a methodology in the classroom, a program has been designed to apply this methodology. It consists of two Sessions and a series of gamified activi-ties that aspire to enhance the oral skills of Compulsory Secondary Education students, specifically of the first year, in which board games will be used to develop oral comprehension and production skills.
