Utilización docente de la metodología de Juegos de Escape en los Ciclos Formativos de Servicios Socioculturales y a la Comunidad

Abstract
As far as vocational training education is concerned, organizations and companies are interested in hiring professional specialists, not only with professional competencies but also with competences related to soft skills such as learning to learn, leadership, communication ability, ethical values and teamwork. (Puga & Martínez, 2008). It must be added digital competence, which considers the ever-changing technological progress and opens new possibilities of relations within the intervention field. Needless to say that soft skills play an important role regarding the Sociocultural and Community Services professional area since these skills are connected to a human workforce whose intervention goal is the attention to people in need of social and health care. We, as teachers of vocational training, must materialize these skills into new strategies of intervention at classroom level, manifesting the need of a new teaching methodology tailored to our students’ needs and communication. The completed project proposes the implement of a new methodology based on escape room games as a recreational tool of physical and mental adventure. Students are locked in a room, and using clues, they must solve all puzzles in order to escape in a limited time.
