Résumé

A great electoral season underlines first six months of 2019 in Spain: in barely one month National, Regional, Local and European elections have taken place in the country. This long electoral campaign comes to strengthen Spanish Socialist Party (PSOE), and establish it as the main party of the country, while left wing gets divided and Vox gets some institutional representation for the first time. Premier Sánchez successfully managed to frame the electoral season as a dichotomist choice between progress and regression, recovering and relaunching a classical progressive narrative. Fear to a far right wing victory mobilized progressive electorate and increased Govern’ s legitimacy, which had been undermined due to its origin (a confidence motion).
