Abstract
Touch is one of the most vital and fundamental human experiences. Since the human being is born, inviting tactile properties sensory interaction and play. The positive properties of clay can specify several: flexibility, touch feeling with the hands or body of the person and the visual richness that projected in the work which makes it a highly suitable medium for expression feelings and pent-up emotions of the person. This study has a quantitative character and has been composed of a sample of 15 students and 27 students of the Master of Research and Innovation in Education and Primary Education in the subject of Innovation and Research in Art Education and Visual Culture. The results show that most students do not have training and control at work with materials such as clay. That is why, the results point to the need to improve teacher training practices as including knowledge where art therapy practice is a cornerstone to lean on.
