Resumen
In the present paper we offer an approach to comic as text genre and deal with the problems resulting from interlinguistic translation of comics, using examples from English and German comic strips. After this introduction we will explain the high didactic potential of comics in general and, more specifically, the capacity of comic translation to help students acquire the translation competences which are essential to the exercise of their future profession.
