Resumen

El propósito de este trabajo es contrastar la asociación entre diferentes indicadores climáticos y geográficos y la actividad física durante el tiempo libre en la población adulta española. Se analizó la práctica de actividad física durante el tiempo libre en una muestra representativa de la población española compuesta por un total de 29.478 personas, a través de un estudio descriptivo polietápico y estratificado por conglomerados (Encuesta Nacional de Salud de España). Los niveles de práctica de actividad física durante el tiempo libre difieren en función de diferentes factores geográficos y ambientales como el tamaño del municipio, la ruralidad de la región, la caracterización sociocultural deportiva, la meteorología, la temperatura y la presencia o no de litoral costero.
