Resumen

Este artículo analiza las diferencias existentes entre las grandes empresas de España y Portugal en lo referido tanto al uso de las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TIC) como a la integración electrónica con los agentes de la cadena de suministro. Estas diferencias se establecen en términos de la capacidad para generar resultados empresariales superiores. Los resultados muestran diferencias entre ambos grupos de empresas y confirman que las empresas españolas deberían perseguir una mayor integración con la cadena de suministro, por ejemplo, a través del desarrollo de TIC que faciliten la colaboración con clientes y proveedores.
