Zusammenfassung

In the majority of Spanish rural areas, rural tourism has become one of the most impor-tant economics activitie in the last decade. In the course of this activity the increase indemand for rural lodging has been crucial. However, there is a surprising lack of research onthe profile of the rural visitor. As a result, the major emphasis in this study is on identifyingthe profile of the rural visitors who are most likely to choose one of five defined rural areasin the Northwest regions of Murcia. The probability is calculated using the multinomial logitmodel.
