Abstract
The article, after briefly describing the concept of new technologies, focuses on the analysis of communication networks and shows their origins, their development and their importance in education. Educational networks are a very potent tool for the shared construction of knowledge, and they are giving rise to a large number of educational experiences: networks between classrooms, systems for distributing online courses, open learning experiences, informal learning experiences
