Zusammenfassung

The implementation of the new curricula, inspired in the educational philosophy of the EHEA, is a big change for theeducational community as a whole, for both teachers and students alike. Therefore, at this early stage we believe it isvery important to gather information on the development of this process and keep track of it through the opinions andattitudes of our students. Students are central in this process since the success or failure of the new studies will dependon their attitudes and their level of commitment and acceptance of the new curricula. For these reasons, we decided it was important to conduct an exploratory study of a subject whose teaching we wereassigned during the academic year 2010-2011: “Cultura contemporánea a través de medios artísticos y decomunicación" (Degree in English Studies; Universidad de Murcia, Spain). In this paper we present the results obtainedfrom this study, which was designed to explore the attitudes and perceptions of students regarding:a) their acceptance or rejection of new teaching methods,b) their assessment and opinions,c) how satisfied they were with the learning they acquired. We believe it is important to collect data about the learning process of our students so that, taking into account theirpoint of view, we can build on the positive aspects or make the necessary changes to improve the quality of ourteaching.
