Abstract

We know that children are aware of death and suffer different losses. However, death is associated with pain and has become a social taboo. For this reason, this innovative experience is realized that triesto break the taboo and normalize the death. The objective of this study is to improve emotional competence related to the field of education for death with an intervention program based on the projects methodology. The intervention was performed in a public center of Murcia, in a classroom of third year of early childhood education with 22 students between five and six years. The results reveal the potential of the method for projects to introduce education for death, as there have been significant improvements in student learning.
