Motivación, dirección de la autoconfianza y flow en judokas de alto nivel

Resumen

Basado en el modelo jerárquico de la motivación intrínseca y extrínseca (Vallerand, 1997), y el modelo de direccionalidad de la ansiedad de Jones (1991), el objetivo de este estudio fue analizar la relación entre motivación, y el poder predictivo de la direccionalidad de la autoconfianza precompetitiva en el flow situacional en competición. Nuestra muestra se compuso de 128 judokas de élite españoles, que completaron cuestionarios referentes a las necesidades psicológicas básicas, motivación autodeterminada, dirección de la autoconfianza precompetitiva y estado de flow en competición. El análisis de ecuaciones estructurales realizado, mostró que las necesidades psicológicas básicas de competencia y relación predijeron el índice de autodeterminación, (IAD). Éste a su vez predijo la direccionalidad de la autoconfianza y la direccionalidad de la autoconfianza predijo el flow. Los resultados muestran la importancia de las variables situacionales en el comportamiento psicológico en competición.
