Abstract

In this study, the difficulty of the contents that are used ingeneralized education is shown. We take the case of motion as anexample where appear problems in relation to both, its conceptualizationand the content that teachers can assimilate. A series of works aboutboth, its historical evolution and its relation to mental evolution have beenmade in order to improve its teaching. Seven postulates that scholasticsof 13th century had stated, are shown. They get to obtain basicachievements starting from the conceptualization of Aristotle, since theyreduce the movements that this one had considered only to the states oftranslation. This drastic reduction allows scholastics to eliminatedeformations in relation to movible bodies whenever they change itsstates of translation, to simplify the motion of the points that make up thebodies that are in states of translation, to simple lineal segments of easyvaluation and to obtain the first metrical determination of a motion. Theimportance of these questions for the teacher education is indicated in theconclusions.
