I hold a PhD in computer science from the University of Murcia. Below, I summarize my research fields and group. MEDICAL INFORMATICS Within the field of medical informatics, I research Artificial Intelligence technologies applied to simulation models to represent patient characteristics and nosocomial infections. These models can be used both for generating synthetic clinical data and for conducting epidemiological studies. Among these technologies, I highlight Reinforcement Learning and agent-based models. DATA VISUALIZATION I research data visualization techniques and methodologies, especially for spatiotemporal data, to create tools that are useful for physicians in disease monitoring. MEDAILAB RESEARCH GROUP I am part of the Medical Informatics and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (MedAILab) at the University of Murcia. Our team researches and implements technology to support medical decision-making through knowledge and data-intensive IT solutions. Our research creates new ways to assist healthcare professionals in their daily work and critical decisions by merging Medical Informatics and Artificial Intelligence technologies.
