I am an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) in the Department of Didactics of Language and Literature at the University of Murcia (UMU). I teach English language education across several degree programs in the Faculty of Education. I earned my Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics at UMU, where I also completed a Master’s in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics and a Master’s in English Language Teaching. Before joining UMU as tenure-track faculty, I worked at Universidad del Atlántico Medio (UNAM), where I served as Director of the Official Master’s in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE). Earlier in my career I held a collaborative scholarship in German Studies at UMU’s Department of Translation and Interpreting, worked as a research fellow in the Department of English Studies (September 2015), and began teaching as an Associate Lecturer in February 2016. Since September 2020, I have taught Academic English at the University of the People (California, USA), delivering English Composition 1 and 2. I am a member of the research group “E020-14 Applied Linguistics. Second Language Learning in Educational Contexts (LA_L2)” and have taken part in six nationally funded projects with SENECA, MINECO, and AEI. My research focuses on language skills in face-to-face and computer-mediated contexts, including pen-and-paper and digital writing. I have published in journals such as Miscelánea (SJR Q2), Papeles, Espiral (JCR Q1), Studies in Second Language Learning and Teaching (JCR Q1), Journal of New Approaches in Educational Research, Language Teaching Research Quarterly, Human Review (SJR Q4), Tonos Digital (SJR Q4), Didacticae, and Language Education Forum. I have written and co-authored books with IGI Global (Q1-SPI; Scopus), Dykinson (Q1-SPI), Adaya Press, Editorial Académica Española, and EditUM. I also have forthcoming books with Springer and Nova Science Publishing.
