Carmen Sánchez Mañas has been a permanent teaching and research (Profesora Permanente Laboral) of Greek Philology in the Department of Classical Philology at the University of Murcia since 2024, where she joined as a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor (Profesora Ayudante Doctora) in 2021. Her main research areas are the following two: - Greek Historiography of the Classical period, with a focus on Herodotus and Ctesias. - Greek Hagiography of Late Antiquity, with a focus on the so-called female transvestite saints. She has published more than 30 scientific contributions, including a monograph, a translation, over ten academic articles, over ten book chapters, and co-edited three collective works.
