Resumo

Chrysodeixis acuta (Walker, [1858]) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) is recorded for the first time from Spain, at Vejer de la Frontera, a locality in the province of Cádiz (Andalusia, S Spain). The species had already been located in the Iberian Peninsula more than thirty years ago, in Portugal. Individuals recorded now from Spain may be part of an expanding resident population, or newly arrived from North Africa.
