Research on communication research in Spain has as an unavoidable reference the theoretical production carried out by the MAPCOM group, whose main contributions articulate the book Fifteen years of research into Communication in Spanish universities (published by Comunicación Social, 2023). The work, published in Spanish and English and based on the results obtained through two R+D+I projects, analyzes the documents, voices and groups of the Spanish communication field during the period 2007-2022. The titanic effort to give an account of what has been produced during the last 15 years makes this work an essential reference for any researcher who wishes to learn more about the current state of the field in Spain and its future prospects.
