Zusammenfassung

The change of the teacher's profile required required by the new needs and environmental conditions at the present time are causing the emergence of a number of challenges in Higher Education. Therefore, the aim of this work is to analyze the challenges facing this level of education today. At work, we have included: a) changes in the use of teaching methodologies, with inclusion of active methodologies and information and communication technologies (TIC) in the classroom; b) the importance of new socio-emotional ways for connection the teachers and the students; and c) the need to consider a continuous assessment, that students receive feedback of the advancement of their learnings. An finally, the article concluded with some reflections and implications about the challenges for the Higher Education today.Key word: Higher Education, Active Methodologies, Continuous Assessment; Interaction
