Resumo

August Pullman, known as “Auggie”, is a 10-year-old boy who was born with a rare facial deformity, which is why he has undergone numerous surgeries to be able to breathe, see, smell and improve his appearance. Throughout his childhood he has been educated by his mother at home. However, his parents have considered that the time has come to enroll him in the educational center to start the fifth year of Primary Education. There are many insecurities and fears that arise not only from his parents and sister, but also from the protagonist himself, who attends the first school days dressed as an astronaut so as not to show his face. However, Auggie will be the center of attention from his classmates and the object of continuous ridicule and attacks. Subsequently, thanks to the good work of the teaching team, the sensitivity and empathy of the students and the continuous family care, they ensure that Auggie overcomes his insecurities and shows himself to others as he is, a wonderful being who feels and lives school as a happy environment.
