Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the Murcian film Sofia volverá from the perspective of International Law. Her Mar Menor, where she lives, is going through an ecocide and, as a result, this girl must migrate in order to protect the environment. It is based on this that the legal configuration of the environmental aspect of international law is analyzed, in order to propose -if necessary- legal changes to the protection of the environment, so as to improve the effectiveness of such protection and, in addition, to combat climate change. This legal change would also be cultural, since it would mean that people would change their relationship with the environment through legal education. The predominantly Western legal-environmental approach will be challenged by looking at other worldviews, such as the indigenous worldview, which sees nature as a subject rather than an object.
