Claves de la Metafísica de la Comunidad de von Hildebrand

Resumo

The paper focuses on the currency of the recent Hilde- brand’s work translated on the metaphysics of community, updated according to the latest edition of 1975. The personalist bases of the different communities stand out against collectivisms of different signs and against the dissolution of community ties. We begin by highligh- ting the successive steps in the intentional approach to the other up to the affective responses to the value of the person of the other in its completeness. In each one of them there is a component of love, which Hildebrand breaks down into its different modes of love for one’s neighbor, parental-child love, spousal love, love for the nation, among others. From them one or another community form is built. The next pro- blem is to classify the discovered communities by axiological rank and to search for the different forms of tangency, exclusion or co-belonging that can be assigned to them. We conclude by some comments on two critical remarks.
