Zusammenfassung
Cultural identity has always been one of the preferred issues in Anthropology, although studied from different theoretical perspectives. Traditionally, it has been dealt with, above all, taking the local, county, provincial and national units as the basis of the analysis. This article is committed to supraregional cultural identity. The Fiesta de las Cuadrillas from Barranda (Murcia) is a supra-regional phenomenon, which brings together people from various provinces and has oral tradition music as its glue. Based on a meticulous fieldwork with ethnographic techniques, an interpretation proposal is presented.
