Pintura encubierta: del cuadro a la forma autónoma (2010-2022)

Resum

Utilising the split that occurred between the performative practices typical of conceptual art and formalist painting of the mid-20th century as a reference, we propose a reconciliation that is manifested today in the form of categories that arise from ready-made, collage and monochrome picture. We arrived at these categories through our own experience, production and research, carried out between 2010 and 2022. This approach has allowed us to explore the ambiguous dimensions of pictorial practice, understood as the articulation of utilitarian and aesthetic actions and installations that are related to bricolage, as well as the elaboration —among others— of the concepts undercover painting and autonomous form.
