Resumen

Directive (EU) 2022/2041 on adequate minimum wages in the European Union, on adequate minimum wages in the European Union has come into legal coverage at the sixth principle of the European Pillar of Social Rights. From a legal point of view, the regulation is aware of the impossibility of determining a single minimum wage, which is why it has opted for the selection of the most appropriate parameters for negotiating, updating, deducting and reviewing the legal minimum wage. The Directive thus guarantees the primacy of national law and the role of collective bargaining. The present paper analyzes the legislative iter of the Directive until its approval, the collective bargaining procedure for the determination of the wage amount, the effectiveness and sanctionability of the norm and the call for a responsible public contracting in salary matters
