Resumen

Rural tourism in Spain has come a long way, although in recent years, and more recently with the covid-19 pandemic, it has grown significantly in the tourism market, revitalizing the rural spaces of the different Spanish autonomies. Murcia Region has traditionally structured its tourist offer in the sun and beach model, but as is logical, inland areas such as the Northwest of Murcia bet on other modalities such as rural tourism in order to boost the economy, generating a productive diversification. The fundamental objective of this research is to analyze the existing tourist facilities in the region. For this, information has been compiled from the different statistical yearbooks of the Autonomous Community of the Murcia Region and field work has been carried out. The results show an increase in the number of tourist facilities but with differences between the different municipalities that make up the region.
