Resumen
In the last decade, we have witnessed the effects of climate change on our planet, represented, among others, by the increase in temperature as well as the reduction in the availability of water resources. Numerous efforts are carried out with the intention of mitigating the effects and trying to correct the trend of climate change. From the cities perspective, one of the aspects in which one can work to mitigate and correct this tendency is the efficient management of water resources in the irrigation of green areas. For this reason, our proposed solution consists of a system that offers excellent advances in the management of water resources, allowing a more significant saving of water and energy in the irrigation of green areas of the city. To do so, our proposal offers a global solution capable of communicating with existing devices, managing them and showing them in a single remote management system (SCADA), solving the problem of integration and adaptation to the "Smart City" paradigm of the growing ecosystem of devices and proprietary languages imposed by the various manufacturers of solutions for irrigation. As shown by the results of the application of our system for the case of the city of Logroño, presented in this document, it is possible to achieve notable improvements in water and energy usage, as well as incorporating water management for irrigation of green areas in the macro-environment of the Smart City
