Abstract

Orthodontic extrusion is a very useful tool for saving teeth with bad prognosis and to get better periodontal conditions if the affected tooth would be replaced by an implant. In this article we describe the extrusion technique distinguishing between “quick and slow” according to the treatment objectives. We will see the aspects we have to focus with other disciplines as endodontics or prothodontics and everything will be ilustrated with a clinical case from the beginning to the end.
