Resumen
The higher education in a plural society takes on new challengues actually. The phenomenon of migration, technological disruption and crises modify the meaning of citizenship. Atthe present, global citizenhip education leads to the assumption of procedures that enhance it. In response, the general aim explores the use of virtual tutoring, identifying the tools used and defining tutoring in digital contexts. A mixed methodology of exploratory and descriptive study is used.It includes analysis of documents and statistical data analysis by inference with a sample n=453.The results indicate 57 153 actions associated with collaboration and student participation basedon resources read, tasks, contents, and private messages. Tutoring is defined as a support trainingactivity, individualized and academic, sequential and not planned in advance. It concludes in twosence. First, collaboration and participation have to be assessed mixing quantitative and qualitativeinstruments, and second, virtual tutoring characteristics is an usseful tool for the plural citizenship.It has been detected advances on the numeber 4 and 5 of the Sustainable Development Goals by2013 Agenda.
