Abstract
Approach to the study of school housed in rural areas in Murcia, from a particular caseas the school is located in Los Martinez del Puerto, area conceived as field area located about24 arises km from the capital. Traditionally, the rural school has been considered as a differentiated type of school from the urban school; very specific characteristics attached to a timein which there was a great contrast between rural and urban, and that for more recent dates,have transmuted into a new school model. The particularities and evolution of the rural schooltoday, will be defined throughout the work.
