Abstract

A clinical case of bilateral Acanthamoeba Keratitis is reported in a contact lens wearer woman who underwent penetrating keratoplasty and extracapsular cataract surgery in both eyes, because of failure of medical treatment and increased risk of perforation. In sur- gery, secondary aniridia with total iris atrophy was discovered in her left eye. We emphasize the importance of early diagnosis among high risk population for its chronic evolution and bad therapeutic response.
