Abstract

We analyze the total cost for a wearer of disposable contact lenses and of conventional soft lenses, including the value of the lenses and its maintenance. Wearing them without incidences, we observe that the DCL are slightly more expensives (18.2%). We discussed the advantages and disadvantages of both systems and we conclude that the overcost is minimun comparing the DCL advantages over the conventionals.
