Abstract
There are not many references to the census of windmills in the region of Murcia. On different occasions, information has been presented that have left more or less approximate information, although not always contrasted. It is in 1995, when after the announcement of the Directorate General of Culture of the region of Murcia by which opened period of public information of the file of declaration of Cultural interest with category of monument, in favor of the windmills of the field of Cart Agena establishes a relationship of the same that has subsequently been in crescendo. However, in parallel with the different protectionist regulations that have emerged in recent years, there have been transformations in molinan buildings that in some cases have reached their total disappearance. This work presents these cases of windmills that unfortunately, and despite their official registration, have become part of the past in the regional census
