Abstract

The aim of rhis paper is to highlight the integration of elderly people in the discourse of rhe eRPO and therefore the application to rhern of Law 8/2021 of 2 June. In particular, it is stressed that their vulnerabiliry does not necessarily affect their right to exercise their legal capaciry through support measures, on an equal footing with other people and with full respect for their wishes. A"fter a brief introduction, the first part of rhe paper focuses on the study of old age as a disabling circumstance, reserving the second part for an approach to rhe exercise of decision-making autonomy in this scenario of vulnerabiliry due to age, with special attention to the welfare and representative dimension of support and to rhe protagonism of the will in its choice.
