Abstract

Inline hockey is an early sport which is growing throughout the world. The use of inline roller skates, sticks and puck, as well as the protective equipment used by inline hockey players is more frequently related to ice hockey than roller hockey using quads and ball. However, inline hockey was created from both roller hockey and ice hockey sport modalities. Currently, the origin of inline hockey it seem unclear as well as its way of introduction in Spain. The aim of the present study was to provide information on the origin and history of line hockey and its introduction in Spain.
