Abstract
The Motor Tale (MT) is a methodological tool that favors the integral development of the person through the treatment of basic motor skills for life, including those related to jumping and displacement. For this reason, this research had two main objectives: on one hand, to analyze the development and improvement of jumping as a motor skill, and on the other hand, to examine the development and improvement of movement as a motor skill. Both objectives were worked through the use of MT in a group of 25 students of fve years of Early Childhood Education. This is a qualitative study, and the instruments used in this were participant observation, a teacher classroom diary and a researcher feld diary. The results obtained indicate that the playful symbolism offered by MT, as well as the great variety of situations and experiences offered by its development in the Infant Physical Education classroom, favors the correct development of the basic motor skills developed on in this research.
