Résumé

Many different resources are commonly used to get the objectives and competences in the process of teaching and learning in Statistics. Nowadays the access to the web allows the use of new strategies and tools to enhance and complement the traditional ones. Between the resources available on the web (online books, calculators statistics, free software,…) the so-called interactive simulations deserve special recognition, for giving students the chance to visualize statistical concepts and interact with them and learn from their own experience. Interactive simulations can be used in the three main parts normally considered when teaching Statistics in Social Sciences: Descriptive, Probability and Inference. Given the quantity and variety of existing simulations, it is advisable to make a selection of them and encourage their use. An example of the integration of these resources is available through the portal OCW of the University of Murcia for the subject “Statistics” in the degree of Marketing. This material has been used during the academic year 2012-2013 by students of the subject, and we have found that has helped to improve their interest on it, making it more attractive for students.
