Resumen

Introducción. La teoría y la investigación apoyan la idea de que el bienestar subjetivo (afecto positivo/negativo y satisfacción con la vida) es un constructo importante a la hora de entender el bienestar psicológico y la salud mental. Se ha estudiadola relevancia de la satisfacción con la vidaen variables que inciden sobreel bienestar psicológico. Se ha investigado la satisfacción vital enadolescentes y su relacióncon el sexo, la edad,losestilos parentales, el apego a los paresy la inteligencia emocional. Se han comparado los grupos en función del grado de satis-facción con la viday su relación con dichas variables. Método.Una muestra de 285 estudiantes de educación secundaria (49.8% varones)con una edad promedio de 15.09 años (rango de 12 a 19) respondió autoinformes que evalúanlas varia-bles analizadas: Escala de Satisfacción con la Vida en Adolescentes(SWLS-C);Estilos educa-tivosmaterno y paterno;Inventario de Apego a Padres y Pares para Adolescentes (IPPA) yTraitMeta-Mood-Scale-48(TMMS-48).Resultados.Los resultados muestranun nivel de satisfacción con la vidaalto en los adolescen-tes. Se ha confirmadouna puntuación significativamente superior en los chicosfrente a las chicas, al igual que en el grupo que cursa ESO frente al grupo de Bachiller. Se han obtenidocorrelacionesestadísticamente significativas entre la satisfacción con la viday todas las dimen-siones de Estilos Educativos Parentales estudiadas, a excepción de Control Conductual; las di-mensiones Alienación y Confianza en elApego a Pares;y las dimensiones ClaridadEmocional y Reparación de las Emociones en Inteligencia Emocional, así como diferencias estadística-mente significativas entre los grupos de satisfacción en 12 de las 19 variables analizadas. Discusión y Conclusión: Fomentar la satisfacción vital en adolescentes es cada vez más im-portante, debido a la función que podría desempeñar en la consecución de un buen ajuste psi-cológico y, por lo tanto, en la promoción y la prevención de la salud mental.
