Resumen

A small outcrop of richsanidine nodules located in western part of Jumilla (Murcia province, Spain) is studied in this paper. The nodules, containing essentially submicroscopic sanidine with small amount of phlogopite and iron oxides, show a typical concentric texture. The mineralogical study by chemical analysis, XRD, XRF, SEM, and optical methods reveals a K-rich feldspar with a little degree of K+ - Na+ replacement. Lattice reticular constants of sanidine have been determined with the following average values: 3,,= 8.592(4) Á, bQ = 13.010(5) Á, c Q = 7.178(5) Á, P = 116.09", and V = 720.74 Á 3, in good agreement with those published for the HS-LS and HS-AA series.
