Abstract
The idiosyncrasy of the teaching work, together with the complexity of school life, and the increase in conflicting events, question the recipe or universal training model from which to train teachers. At the same time, the urgency of analyzing the adjustment of the training offer to the real needs of the recipients raise as a research problem,. For this purpose, an ad hoc questionnaire was prepared that answered 536 teachers (336 female and 200 male) from 47 ESO educational centers in the Region of Murcia, since a survey methodology based on descriptive-exploratory analyzes is chosen. The results show the inadequacy of the previous training received, the need for a more participatory and more in-depth preparation in aspects related to the development of a critical attitude of their teaching practice and professional ethics, of creativity when managing problems of living together and promoting the learning of norms through participation, among other aspects. In conclusion, the offer and the training model should be more adjusted to the real needs of teachers
