Resumo
The social State set up by the Spanish Constitution of 1978, is the framework in which the right of association is framed and, consequently, the various associative specificities in which it is concretised, among which are the consumer associations and users. In them, the associative element is combined with the necessary protection of a collective, that of the consumers, which is constitutionally understood as particularly vulnerable. This unusual constitutional relevance of consumer associations reveals the important socio-economic role that the Spanish Constitution gives them. The purpose of this work is to analyse the legal nature of consumer organizations in Spain and to define the function entrusted to them as instruments through which the fundamental right of association is exercised to reach an end of interest General, as it is protecting the interests of consumers and users
