Résumé

The bibliographic citations of Conardia compacta (Amblystegiaceae) in the Iberian Peninsula have been revised, when possible, and some new localities have been added. Additionally, a type of this species is studied. Illustrations and complete description of C. conardia are provided, as well as a map which shows its distribution in the northern half of the Iberian Peninsula. The presence of this species in the southern half is discarded.
