Abstract
The increase in the practice of CrossFit generates the need to know the functional profile of its practitioners. The aim is to describe the functional profile of CrossFit practitioners in order to detect the risk of injury according to gender and years of practice. The sample is composed of 8 subjects (30,87 ±5,89 years), 4 men and 4 women. All were evaluated through 5 functional tests: Overhead Squat Test, Hurdle Step Test, Forward Step Down, Shoulder Mobility Test and Active Straight Leg Raise. Compensation was observed in the ankle, knee, hip and shoulder joints. The results show statistically significant differences in Forward Step Down (p=,013), indicating better functionality in monopodal support under load in men than in women. The data obtained in the time of practice seems to indicate an improvement of the functionality in the monopodal support without load (p=,012). Similar studies with larger samples are recommended to test these results.
