Résumé
Wheelchair tennis (TSR) is the adapted sport of conventional tennis (TC). In 2016, it was played in the three types of Grand Slam surfaces. Knowledge of match statistics can help to understand the differences in the game depending on the playing surface. Therefore, the aim of this work was to analyse the differences in the match statistics according to the playing surface, both in male and female tennis matches. 101 games of 42 matches of three Grand Slam Games at 2016 season: Australian Open (AO), Roland Garros (RG) and Wimbledon (W), were analysed. The analysis of variables related to the game, variables related to the service and variables related to the return was done. The results show differences in match statistics between surfaces, and both male and female categories. The results of this work could help coaches in the design of training tasks depending on the playing surface.
