Résumé
We have planned this study with the objective of measuring the intraocular pressure variations conditioned by the extended-wear use of disposable contact lenses and the alterations derived from its retirement. We have fitted a contact lens in one of the eyes of our control cases. The lens was retired after hours of wearing, without compressing the eyes. The measures of intraocular pressure determined with Goldmann's tonometer did not show significant variations before and after the wearing of the contact lens. There were not differences between control and experimental cases.
