Resumo
The aim of this study is to describe the emotional aspects of c are, specifi cally anger management and its relationship with thinking styles acco rding to Millon. A sample of 124 family caregivers of people with dementia from different as- sociations and day-care centers from Southern Spain participate d in this study: 94 women (age: 54.45 years, SD = 12.19) and 30 men (age: 56.53 years, SD = 13.72). The Millon Index of Personality Styles (MIPS, Millon,1994) and the State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory (Spielberger, 1994) were applied. The results a differential profi le of cognitive and emotional coping as a function of sex that is related to the care of a person with dementia.
